John C.R. Nery

Managing Director, Head of Investments

John joined Squircle Capital in 2018 and is responsible for executing the group’s investment strategy and leading its portfolio management initiatives. He sits on the firm’s executive and management committees and is a member on the board of directors of more than a dozen portfolio companies across the group’s investment platforms.

Prior to joining Squircle Capital, John built a career working in private equity and investment banking across equity and debt capital markets and mergers & acquisitions, advising the world’s largest corporate clients and sovereign wealth funds on transactions across the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

John brings with him a wealth of knowledge having invested in and advised clients on billions of euros worth of transactions across real estate, telecoms, insurance, banking, real estate, consumer and retail. John has worked at QInvest and Merrill Lynch, speaks fluent English and Spanish, studied at Eton College and graduated with a Double Honours Degree from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
