Gonzalo Álvarez

Managing Director, Real Estate Development

Gonzalo joined Squircle Capital in 2014 and leads the group’s real estate development value creation team. He sits on the firm’s executive and management committees.

Gonzalo works closely with the investments team to unlock the hidden value of assets in the pipeline by analyzing their technical and financial feasibility. He then oversees, coordinates, and manages projects from conception to successful completion. This includes partnering with world-renowned interior designers, architects and engineering firms to lead and coordinate vast multicultural teams across jurisdictions.

He has more than 15 years’ experience of rethinking, designing and developing real estate projects of scale, particularly in the luxury hospitality, prime residential and mixed-use property markets. Gonzalo previously worked at Hill International.

Gonzalo previously worked at Hill International, holds a MSC in Architecture and a master’s degree in Project Management from the European University of Madrid. He speaks fluent Spanish and English.
