Ezechiel joined Squircle Capital in 2020 and is responsible for the legal, tax and compliance affairs of the group. He sits on the firm’s executive committee.
Prior to joining Squircle Capital, Ezechiel had a successful career in private practice as an Equity Partner, Head of Fund Practice at an international law firm where he assisted alternative fund managers, credit institutions, and professional investors with corporate, regulatory and contractual matters. Ezechiel dealt with the structuring and establishment of investment vehicles, fund raising and negotiations with investors and regulators, as well as with the deployment of capital raised.
Ezechiel is the author of many books and articles on investment fund related topics. He is a professor at the Luxembourg Business School, teaching a course on Alternative Investment Funds in the Executive Master in Financial Services Industry. He is also a lecturer at the University of Luxembourg on Investment Funds in the framework of the Master in European and International Tax Law and a frequent speaker at fund conferences. He is the editor-in-chief of Jurisnews – Investment Management, published by Larcier, and co-editor-in-chief of the European Investment Fund Review (EIFR), published by Anthemis.
Ezechiel studied law at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, at the Catholic University of Louvain and at the Complutense University of Madrid including a one-year study abroad program, sponsored by the European Union. He speaks fluent English, French, Dutch and Spanish.
