Squircle Capital hires Delfin Rueda as Managing Director of Finance
Squircle Capital, an established and innovative pan-European private equity firm with a demonstrable track record of transforming assets through exceptional vision and purposeful management, today announces the hiring of Delfin Rueda as Managing Director of Finance.
With more than 30 years of experience in major financial institutions, Delfin brings a multifaceted and broad range of expertise across various sectors and industries, including consulting, financial services, insurance, private equity and venture capital. Most recently, he served as CFO and Vice-Chairman of the Executive Board at financial services provider NN Group.
An MBA graduate of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, Delfin has advised corporate clients and financial institutions while working at J.P. Morgan, UBS, Salomon Brothers and Andersen Consulting. He has also worked for ING Insurance and Atradius. Delfin joins Squircle Capital’s growing team of 32 professionals across Luxembourg, Milan and Barcelona.
As Managing Director of Finance, Delfin will play a pivotal role in guiding Squircle Capital’s financial operations and overseeing the existing Finance and Fund Administration teams. His primary focus will be implementing best-in-class governance, reporting, monitoring, and management practices as the company continues to grow and expand its platform. Delfin will also become a member of the Investment Committee and join Squircle Capital’s Executive Committee.
Squircle Capital manages almost €1bn of assets, including MB92, the world’s largest superyacht refit and repair company. Founded in 2012 by José Caireta. Squircle Capital invests in high-end private equity and real estate assets, with a clear belief that private equity firms should leave a positive legacy not limited to delivering financial returns for its investors.
Delfin completes Squircle Capital’s Executive Committee, joining José Caireta, Founder and Managing Partner; John Nery, Managing Director, Head of Investments; Nathalie Burdet, Managing Director, Communications; Ezechiel Havrenne, Managing Director, General Counsel and Gonzalo Álvarez, Managing Director, Real Estate Development.
