José Caireta

Founder, Managing Partner

José is the Founder and Managing Partner of Squircle Capital and leads the firm’s executive and management committees, providing strategic vision for the group and its portfolio companies. He sits on the MIT Sloan School of Management Executive Board and has held board positions in companies such as Société Foncière Lyonnaise, France’s oldest real estate company.

José has enjoyed a successful career in both private equity and investment banking, having worked at JP Morgan and Warburg Dillon Read offices in London. During this time, José advised on high-profile transactions across the banking, insurance, industrial, telecom and energy sectors in Europe.

José holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a Master’s in Finance and a Degree in Business Administration from the IQS School of Business at Universidad Ramon Llull. He speaks English, Spanish, French and Italian.
